Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider CPR Heartcode Skills Classroom course. This course is for someone looking for their initial BLS CPR Course or those who have let their current CPR card expire. Please provide your Heartcode BLS Completion Certificate Number during check out or Add the Heartcode course to this purchase.

 This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Who should take this course?

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

The AHA’s BLS Renewal course are for participants that have a current, not expired, American Heart Association BLS CPR Card.

Health and Safety Institute Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid blended training program provides an ideal training solution for schools, child care providers, youth sports coaches, and others required to learn how to respond to medical emergencies involving children and infants.

This versatile program is based upon the 2020 CPR and First Aid Guidelines, Caring for Our Children, 3rd Ed; and other evidence-based treatment recommendations. Intended Audience Individuals seeking pediatric CPR training or who are required to be certified in pediatric CPR, AED, and first aid School bus drivers Child care workers Teachers Parents Babysitters.

 

Please note the online section of the course can take up to 3 hours to complete. The online section of the course needs to be completed prior to the hands on component.

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Although, anyone may take this course. Topics covered will be geared toward those in a healthcare environment. Meets Healthcare Recruiter Requirements.
 
What the class covers: The class topics include CPR/AED for Adults, children, and infants and obstructed airways.
 
What the Students Receive: You will receive an AHA BLS Provider card valid for two years.

Enrollment through the AHA website does not secure a skills appointment.  Learners must register for their training here, complete the online portion of the course (Heartcode BLS), and schedule an appointment for skills.

You are responsible for proving a device with internet access. This device must have sound and video. The skills session can not take place if the instructor can not see and speak to you. You will be required to perform your skills on all BSL equipment under the direction/Supervision of an American Heart Association Instrucuctor. 

You have the option to pick up the needed equipment or have it shipped to you. Upon completion of the course your BLS Card is not released until equipment is returned in the same condition it was released to you.
