The American Heart Pediatric Advance Life Support hands on skills session course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, early and continuous high-quality CPR, and high-performing teams. The course reflects science and education from the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

 

You must complete the Heartcode ACLS online course prior to registering for the hands on component. The online course can be found at https://shopcpr.heart.org/courses/pals. Please provide your completion certificate number and date of completion found on your Heartcode ACLS Completion Certificate during check out in the NOTE FOR SELLER section. Your registration is not final until we receive your completion certificate information VIA email or during check out.

This classroom, Instructor-led course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. 

For healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.

  

All students who successfully complete all requirements will receive their official American Heart Association PALS Provider via email using the AHA eCard system! Your course completion card will be valid for a period of two (2) years from the date of your class.
